Bible In Schools Curriculum

The CEC approved curricula are 'Christian Religious Education' and 'Life Choices'. These have been chosen by the Churches Education Commission as the most appropriate curricula for use in New Zealand state schools. Some schools may also approve the 'Connect' syllabus.

Life Choices - 3 Year programme 'Life Choices' is an updated version of 'Life Focus' - the curriculum for assembly style teaching of 50 or more children. However, many volunteers find it an excellent 'ready to go' programme for smaller single classroom teaching. Developed in New Zealand by a team of trained teachers, it links to the values and key competencies of the NZ School Curriculum. 'Life Choices' can be purchased directly from CEC Auckland. Christian Religious Education This material is child centred, Bible based, and written with the secular classroom in mind. Through discovery learning and activities appropriate to each age level, children are encouraged to reflect on their own life experiences and values.
